What a good quote includes
- The word "Quote" (or "Estimate"), a number and the issue date;
- Your details and your client's details;
- Line items with description, quantity and unit price;
- Tax treatment (VAT per line, or none with an explanation);
- A validity date — "valid until" protects you from old prices being accepted months later;
- The total, and any payment terms (deposit, schedule…).
